Tammy received an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Castleton State College in 1979. She was married to Gary Lyman Pidgeon on June 20, 1981. Prior to 1989 when they started their own business, Milton Glass Center, they were employed in Burlington, Tammy by the Merchant's Banks as a computer programmer and Gary by Acme Glass Company. They have a home on former Jackson property. A son, Gary Lyman Pidgeon, Jr., was born on October 27, 1994, weighing only one pound, nine ounces
