Audrey graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1986 with an Associate degree in Business Administration. She worked for The Limited in St. Petersburg, Florida as a manager, transferring to Boston, Massachusetts. Because of a desire to change her career, she moved to California and eventually graduated with honors from San Francisco State University in their Teaching Credentials Program in 1993. On August 1, 1992, Audrey was married to Mark Thomas Fitzsimmons. After her graduation, they moved to Vermont for its lifestyle and to be near family. Audrey is a fifth grade teacher in Milton, the elementary school which she had attended as a child. Mark is employed by the State of Vermont as a Social Security claims examiner.
