After her first marriage ended, Aline married a Mr. Salls. They had a son named Winston. She claimed her husband had died and brought him to her parents in Coventry. Harvey, Aline's brother, and his wife, Viola, later took Winston to live on their farm in Sutton, Vermont.

Winston Salls went on to marry Laura Degreenia on May 7, 1932. They lived in Connecticut and had two children: Wayland and Norma. Wayland was killed on April 30, 1944 when he was about nine years old. He was watching some men cut a fallen tree after a wind storm and a large limb struck him on the head. Winston never fully recovered from the loss of his son. Several years later, he and Laura separated.

In later life, Winston then married his second wife, Blanche. This was a happy marriage. For many years, the couple shared the companionship of a little white poodle. On November 29, 1976, Winston died at the age of 63.

Daughter, Norma, married and had a family. She is believed to live in South Windsor, Connecticut.
