Clarence took over "The Glad Hill Dairy Farm" after his father, Gustavus, retired and operated it for most of his life. After Clarence retired, he and Olive moved to Largo, Florida. He died there about a year later.

Clarence and Olive had three daughters: Hazel, Doris, and Edna. Hazel was married to Oscar Christiansen but died in the same year her father did. Doris married Clarence Anderson and had a daughter, Susan, as well as a son, Stephan. Edna married John Jaraineld. They had a daughter, Jean, and a son, John.

Clarence is buried at The Moreland Cemetery in Massachusetts.
