Charles (Chuck) was born on April 23, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Stoughton High School, Stoughton, Massachusetts before entering Boston University. He served in the U.S. Air Force, 1962-1966, flying combat missions during the Vietnam War and was decorated with the Air Medal.

After the service he became a computer programmer at Grumman Aircraft in Bethpage, Long Island, New York and worked on the design of the F-111 and F-14 fighter aircraft. He returned to Boston in 1967 and worked for Digital Equipment Company and Honeywell Information Systems designing computer systems for hospitals, power plants, and communications networks.

Chuck performed in amateur theater productions in Milton, Massachusetts where he met Jacqueline (Jackie) Kenswil. They married on August 17, 1969 in Newton, Massachusetts. They have two children: Laura and Edward.

Chuck & Jackie live in Merrimack, New Hampshire where Jackie taught in the public schools. Chuck returned to college in 1994 and received a BS, Computer Science from Rivier College in 1996.

Chuck was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in 1997 and Esophageal Cancer in 2004. His wife, Jackie, was diagnosed with a rare cancer of the eye in 2002. Treatments for both Jackie and Chuck resulted in current diagnoses of "No Evidence of Disease."

Since 1998 Chuck has been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society to drive patients for treatment to New Hampshire and Massachusetts hospitals. He also volunteers through the DAV to drive veterans for appointments from their homes to the VA Medical Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. When he is not driving he maintains computer web sites and runs road races from 5k to marathon distances.
