Ernest Roderick, called "Rod", married Peg. They adopted a daughter, Patty, and had a son, Paul Eugene. Patty married and moved to Connecticutt. Paul left home and hasn't been heard from since.

Rod served in the army during World War II.

After the war, Rod owned and operated a successful printing business in Norwood, Massachusetts. He was very active in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE). He divorced and later remarried. He died of stomach cancer on April 27, 1967.
