Emile married Marion Bresee. He operated his father's dairy farm in Montgomery Center for a few years and then moved to Tampa, Florida. He worked many years for Holmes Nursery near Tampa. He died in Florida from cancer when he was a middle-aged man. They had two children: Gary and Carol.

Gary has two sons: Wayne and Scott.

Carol married a McCall and has one daughter, Kayce.
