Bernard Jr. was born May 18, 1936. His first wife was Avis. They had two sons: Michael and Greg, as well as a daughter, Wendy.

Michael had a son: Michael, Jr. and two daughters: Melissa and Ericha. Greg didn't have any children. Wendy married Tom Hanth. They had a daughter, Jessica, born January 3, 1989 and a son, Jordon Tyler, born March 22, 1992.

Avis died July 2, 1967. Bernard married Eileen on June 20, 1970. He is a minister in the Assembly of God Church and teaches Greek at Valley Forge Christian College.
