Calvin married Barbara French. They built a home where they resided in Lakeland, Florida. Calvin worked for Lakeland Electric Company. He was badly injured when he came in contact with a high voltage line. He then had to have part of his foot amputated. Calvin continued working as a safety director. He died March 31, 1975 as a result of open heart surgery. He is buried in Florida. They had four sons, Lance, Kevin, Randy, and Teddy.

Obituary for Calvin

Calvin V. Rossier, 49, of Lakeland, Fla. formerly of the Canandaigua area, died in Lakeland General Hospital on Monday after a short illness. Born in Newport, Vt., Mr. Rossier lived on Bristol Road for 25 years. He worked for Rochester Gas & Electric Corp. here before moving to Florida where he was safety director for the City of Lakeland Electric Co. until his death. He attended Canandaigua Academy and was a World War II veteran. Mr. Rossier is survived by his wife, Ethyel, and her daughters of Lakeland; and his four sons, Lance, Kevin, Rand and Ted all of Lakeland; his mother, Mrs. Beatrice O. Rossier of Canandaigua; four sisters, Marion Johnson, Martha Rossier and Joyce Rossier, all of Canandaigua and Doris Johnson of Waverly, N.Y.; four brothers, George of Edgewater, Maryland; Morris of Nogales, Arizona, Tom and Dale, both of Canandaigua, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held tomorrow in Lakeland, Fla.
