Ross married Rose Marie Chenette in Vancouver, Washington. Their daughter, Theresa Marie, was born there in 1958. They moved to Vancouver, Washington where their son, Brian David, was born in 1960. Brian died while still an infant in 1963. Brian is buried in St. James Catholic Cemetery, Vancouver, Washington.

Ross divorced Rose Marie and married Dorothy Mae Ross in 1965. They had no children.

Ross died in 2006 and is buried in Yankton Hillcrest Cemetery, St. Helens, Oregon. The Columbia Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with Pastor Rick Worlitz officiating.
